Who: Xander and YOU
What: Xander's headspace!
When: Anytime during the headspace plot!
Where: In his room.
Rating: Besides a darker headspace then Xander's usual...nothing to be wary of but I'll update if need be.

I was surprised, as always, be how easy the act of leaving was, and how good it felt. The world was suddenly rich with possibility. )

Sweets hasn't spoken to Xander since his rearrival in the castle, but was planning on making a point of it, he just wanted to give him a little space. Coming back to the castle can be overwhelming, even without all the people you can't remember telling you they used to know you.

So he waits. Usually. He doesn't know why he decides that now of all times would be a good time to drop by and see how he's doing, but he does. He makes his way up to Xander's room and knocks on the door, waiting for some kind of response from the man inside.

Xander woke up to the embodiment of his guilt. His fear. A part of him forgot he even had a door at times. There was the one door at the end of the roof but that one was locked. Nowhere to hide. As he ducked behind one of the rocks he heard the knock at his front door. He glanced up. He'd have to climb. But, it was rude to leave friends waiting. And maybe he could leave. He needed to get out of here. Taking one more look, he quickly grabbed for a rock above him and pulled himself back up to what was left of the roof to the Scottish stronghold he swore he left behind.

Opening the door, he did not expect this guy - whoever he was. And remembering what was inside, he closed it further so that just his body could be seen.

"Yes?"

"Xander?" he says, before raising an eyebrow in his direction. "I know you don't remember me -- my name is Lance Sweets. We were friends the last time you were here."

He then noticed the odd way he is holding the door, and frowns. "Is everything okay?"

"Lance, hey, yeah," he says, running a hand through his hair. He could try and lie, to make some excuse but he doesn't have the energy and he feels like someone that was his friend would be able to see through it. "Uh, well --" And then he swings the door open. Look, look at his room.

Oh. He sees the room. And he gets it now.

"Oh. Yeah, that's ... wow."

"That's -- what I woke up to. Look, I get that the rooms reflect our own whatevers but I usually like to sleep in an actual bedroom."

"No, the castle is having one of it's ... moments." He starts to peer inside, looking around. "It's reflecting our inner thoughts as oppose to our normal bedroom."

"Pretty sure, I don't think this bleakly." he responds. From below, Renee's cry can be heard as if impaled all over again. Xander tries not to wince. But, he is outmatched and steps aside. "Won't you come in..."

Sweets cringes at the cry, before taking the step into the room and looking around. "It's not so much our thoughts themselves as how we process them. Think of it more as ... the landscape of your mind as oppose to the actual things inside it. The pieces of it symbolize the things that impact us and help us make the decisions we do."

... Sweets is a psychologist, Xander. Can you tell?

Xander keeps the door open because he'd rather not be alone in this. But, he looks off into the vast abyss that is the bottom of his new room. How he processed his thoughts? He was pretty sure there was no thought processing. He wasn't acknowledging what he needed to process and maybe this was coming from that.

"The decisions we do. Symbolism. Fun. And ... abstract."

Sweets pauses for a moment, before turning to face him with an apologetic smile. "Sorry. Did I ramble that off too fast?"

"Huh? No, no. I get it. I have a whole heaping helping of getting it. I'm just --" He gestures around. "Pretty abstract, huh? Or, am I using abstract wrong? Cubist?"

"Well, no one ever said that our minds had to follow a logical path," Sweets replies with a smirk. "It's our mind. The possibilities are endless because it doesn't have to bend to the laws of reality."

"I would like...happier possibilities. Maybe brighter ones? Better ones? With less rain." He life resembled a Blind Melon song. How had that happened?

"Okay. Maybe there's something we can do about that." He steps forward, making his way carefully to the edge of the ravine, before looking down. "The two faces there -- who are they?"

"Ex girlfriends. Well, one ex-girlfriend and the possibility of an -- two women I lost," he says, all ready hating that he's playing this game.
