Sam woke up in a really cramped apartment. Normally, cramped wasn't an issue when he was just rooming with Dean, but given that there were several people in this cramped space and he was rather tall, they were still getting used to getting around each other.

When he found out he had a job, he was more than happy to get out of the house.

He made his way through the streets of Paris, letting his eyes wander over the buildings as he went. He had always wanted to really travel, but life kept getting in the way. Now he was actually taking the opportunity to travel, as a weird gift of the castle, and he wasn't really one to look a gifthorse in the mouth. He had already been in the castle long enough to know the catches.

He rounded the corner to the bakery -- apparently it was a line of work he was stuck with now, and blinked, startled when he saw who was inside.

"Hey, Rose."

"How long does that take?" He reached for the tray and went to work, making his way through it as efficiently as he could.

"To get used to it here? It took me about a year to get used to the shop, but the rest of it -- not long at all. I grew up here, so it's just been part of me."

"Do you like it? Living here, I mean."

[banished_dame]

"It's alright. Busy city. Lotsa people. Always adventures to be had."

If she was honest, she'd consider the fact that she'd like to go elsewhere, to not be just the girl in the bakery, but part of her just likes to stay in one spot.

"That's always a good place to live -- somewhere where things are never boring."

[banished_dame]

"I'm a fan of that, personally."

[imnot_likeyou]

"Me too. But not too much happening. It's good to slow down sometimes."

[banished_dame]

"Just not ... too slow."

[imnot_likeyou]

"Exactly," he said with a nod as he considered for a moment. "The middle ground for slow, if there is such a thing."

[banished_dame]

"Pretty sure there's a middle ground for everything, just a matter of findin' it."

[imnot_likeyou]

"I'm glad you found it here."

[banished_dame]

She nods, smiling at him, "Yeah, me too."

[imnot_likeyou]

He nods, before falling silent as he continued to go about his work. Not that he couldn't multitask, but there are some things that need to get done.
