Max is using this place as a hide out from the rest of her entourage. For the first time since this whole mess started, she's dressed in the clothes she's used to wearing -- jeans, biker boots and a leather motorcycle jacket, and just lounging at one of the tables with a beer.

This is how her life should be. More or less.

She'll be hanging out there for a while if anyone wants to bug her. It's been a long week, and it's Christmas (the one holiday she actually appreciates, and she's with her "family" so to speak.

There's a lot of people still missing from that count, but she's got some pretty good stand-ins instead.

Jo is a good kisser, and Max can appreciate that, but there's lines that friends shouldn't cross sometimes. Even if their friends are hot and good with their hands. But that's a whole other matter entirely.

Still, for right now -- it's just a really good kiss.

A really good kiss that Jo is slightly lost in, but after another minute or two, about when Jo's fingers are brushing against the belt loop of Max's pants, she finally feels that tickle of reality.

Then it's not so much a tickle as it is a pop of static shock.

She pulls away quickly.

"Oh. That... Huh."

Max took a couple steps back herself, before nodding. "This is another one of those things where it just ... happened and we're gonna let it go, right?"

Please don't let it be a thing. They really didn't need it to be a thing.

"God, yes. Let it go and far away from here."

Just like she was doing with everything else that was happening in Paris.

"What happens in Paris is staying in Paris."

"Perfect," Max said with a smirk. "Let's just hope no one with a camera caught that."

You could never be too careful with Max's supermodel status. Even if she spent an hour losing her paparazzi tail.

That would be awful. Not that Jo won't talk about it to Chase on New Years, but still -- this is over and done with.

"I'll hit them if they did."

"You and me both," she nodded. "I may not be battle ready but I can still hit pretty hard."

"Well, let's just hope it doesn't come to that."

Max sighed softly, before taking another sip of her beer. "Merry Christmas?"

Jo laughed a bit, lifting her own glass toward Max, "Merry Christmas."
