Wow. I guess Serena just got served. And the worst (for her) part is that all of this is true. English may not be your mother tongue (same for me), but you write very well. Don't worry about that ;P

Loved Dan's assertiveness as well. I wonder if in the canon he'd be so confident in a similar situation against his teenage love. Maybe? The fact that he was shows he very much cares for Blair.

Thank you, for reading and commenting. And well, about what you said about canon!Dan, well, I guess the latest episodes of the show kinda proved me right, right? I'm talking esp. about his convo with Chuck in 4x18, though in 4x19 with Serena he wasn't that assertive but still, they did back up each other's story. What was interesting was how Blair was confident. And also, Serena being a bitch? Checked!

uhmm. wow. what a speech. "My Blair...". not sure if canon Dan will be this self-aware and self-assured as the other commenter mentioned, but i kind of hope so. it isn't about getting Serena served, because Dan did love her once. the thing is, Blair is a fighter too. and somehow that got lost in this speech. Blair is made of sterner stuff.

You're right, I forgot that she's a very strong character but I guess I really wanted to show how vulnerable she let herself be around Dan because he's a safe and soft place to land for her.

I was so happy though when he said in 4x18 "with you [Chuck] she was always caught up in schemes and take-downs. That's not really her. She's intelligent, she's intuitive, she weeps when she watches Nights of Cabiria." And in 4x19 when she says to Serena all the things she can do with Dan that she cannot with Serena (and I'm pretty sure with Chuck either, since he's never been spotted with a book). So I'm quite proud to have put my finger onto something in this fic :p
