The Gate is an amazing movie. I remember watching it at around 10 and being horrified, but at the same time i found those little demons to be hilarious with their little demon pot bellys.

Hey, put a few pieces of plywood together and you have a particle board! The strongest board known to human kind.

Yeah, the demons were a little less frightening looking than they could have been. Even the super demon with multiple arms who arrises from the depths of hell towards the end of the movie suffers from the same problem. But all in all, a classic flick!

Well, you know "The Gate" is based on a true story?

Years ago some scientists were drilling a hole in Siberia, and they dug so deep they found Hell! In this testamony from Dr. Azzacove ". . .the drill suddenly began to rotate wildly, indicating that we had reached a large empty pocket or cavern. Temperature sensors showed a dramatic increase in heat to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit."

"We lowered a microphone, designed to detect the sounds of plate movements down the shaft. But instead of plate movements we heard a human voice screaming in pain! At first we thought the sound was coming from our own equipment."

"But when we made adjustments our worst suspicions were confirmed. The screams weren’t those of a single human, they were the screams of millions of humans!"
