As I said in text last night--poor, poor Bethany. Things just get more and more complicated for her and try as he might, Nathaniel is not helping.

I don't even know what Nathaniel is trying to do, and I'm not sure "helping" applies. But his willingness to step back isn't his finest moment. And Bethany's just a lost creature all around. The woman needs a break, or two.
