Ooh, nice. I don't know why it has a French title, but okay. I like the scenes and the way you've placed them all just before the Hokuto Cup: great way of situating them. So in the first one, Akiko's the outsider, in the second Kiyoharu and the third Mitsuko? *trying to see a connection*

The french title means 'three pictures of a bird that didn't exist' and the parallel would be that, in the world of Go, which their children are so intricately involved, they don't exist.

So, yes, except the feeling of the being the outsider for Chie was unintentional. ^^;;;

Yes, I understood the title, thanks. I just couldn't see a reason for that. Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter.

Who's Chie?

All of the titles from all four fics I wrote for blind_go this round have movie titles. This was the closest title I could recall which fit as loosely as possible to these women not existing in the world where their children [and, in Akiko's case, husband] live.

Hence the reason. ^^;;

Chie is the name I gave Yashiro's mom, since she doesn't have one in canon.

parent and child exploration!! ^_^ this makes me happy to read, even though there's that distance between these women and their sons. that's one thing about the series that just... it's intriguing. you have hikaru's mother, who he barely acknowledges despite how much she cares about him and worries over him, and akira's mother, who is so formal with her son... it's ripe territory. i like how these are all connected by the hokuto cup. i agree that same time is a stronger fic, but i really like this one a lot as well.

thankyou!!

No one ever seems to write about the parents [except, well, y'know, you in the last round], so I wanted to try my hand at it. Glad to know I didn't fail completely.

And yeah, Same Time is definitely the stronger of the two.

Thanks for reading!
