I think Google+ may have finally made LJ a relic.

Google+ is still in a limited field trial, and I'm not sure how it measures up for the purpose of journal making. I like that this place is more focused on that, for when I want to get away from the short updates and links of social networking.

I don't know about anyone else on your FL, but I use LJ for very different things than I use FB or G+...although G+ allows me to filter content within my circles (and I DO have an LJ circle), I don't feel like I can write as comfortably or at the same length as I can here.

There are a few of us, holding on by the skin of our teeth. Old habits die hard, I suppose :)
