It wasn't as though Tifa was scared or anything, but going into a new (albeit scary) region with Cloud certainly made her feel a whole lot better. He was always the leader of the group back home so it just felt natural that he should be with her while journeying to a new place. According to the contraption that allowed everyone to keep in touch, no one knew what this place was.

Thus giving it a little more potential since it didn't seem like anyone was all too excited to go check it out. Tifa wasn't too thrilled either (and even more disappointed that the Calm Lands was now enshrouded by the fog), but she was still happy that Cloud asked her to accompany him to check things out.

Seeing him standing against the wall made her even happier. She remained calm as she waved when she knew she had his attention, then continued to walk toward him.

"Hey, there." She smiled gently at him and then motioned toward the castle. "Do you think anything will try to eat us in there?"

He looked up when he sensed her arriving, casting his blue eyes in her direction. He pushed off the wall a moment later, purposefully dusting at his pants to make it seem like he had been waiting awhile. He hadn't, but he was allowed to rib her, right?

"Doubtful," he replied as a faint flash of a smirk appeared on his lips. "I beat cactaurs with a stick, so an eerie castle should be nothing." He hadn't been castle splunking since he could remember, so nothing scared him right now.

Slowly, he approached so that he stood beside her and shrugged his shoulders. He slipped out in front and started away from the entranceway. "No time like the present."

She playfully rolled her eyes at him when he dusted off his pants. If there was one thing Tifa was extremely proud of, it was her ability to be punctual. None of that 'to be early is on time, to be on time is to be late' nonsense that her school teachers all used to drill into her head; she was exactly on time. Nothing was different about this case either ( ... )

"I didn't have Ultima Weapon at the time," he conceded to her. Plus, he had told Balthier that he was good enough to be able to take out the little creatures with a stick. That was exactly what he had done, but he certainly would have liked his favourite weapon's weight on his shoulders again. "It was a stick or my boots."

Glancing around, he agreed with a nod as he headed down the open corridor. "Too long. It wouldn't have been so bad if you had lived on the upper plate." But no, she had lived in the slums harbouring known terrorists. Shame on her. "I hope you have a better choice in living conditions when you open up your bar again."

Ah, he hadn't even thought of ShinRa with regards to this place. He looked around at the walls a little more suspiciously for indications that the electric company might have something to do with this. "There are no glorified pictures of themselves, so I have my doubts. Though... it was just as easy to get in and the lack of subtle guards could also indicate ShinRa."
