I had abandoned my previous lj and other blogs partly because of the inability to remain committed and most importantly to move away from socialising too much on the net. Well, not that I do much of that anyway. Funnily enough a new account was made so that I can keep in contact with a friend, online (Hi Dr. Yeo!). Maybe this time round I should ( Read more... )

hello arfah!! i'm really thrilled and honoured that you created an account for my sake! hahaha. i'm getting quite embarrassed with the nickname. heh.

I came back to blogging after a very long hiatus. Like you, I had abandoned my previous lj (I didn't delete it for very sentimental reasons). But a friend encouraged me and convinced me of the value of a blog. And as I've come to realise, it's indeed quite a wondrous thing to be able to look back on your previous entries and reflect on what you've been through, how you've grown, as a person.

Besides, blogging helps to keep the polish on your writing--that is, if you do it regularly enough. :p Of course, it is a good way to find out what's happening in the lives of those on your friends list. ;)

Hi Yeo Huan, I shan't embarrass you anymore. I totally agree to that point on blogging helps you to polish your writing as I thought hard about spelling embarassing/embarrasing/embarrassing? I cant spell!

But really it's also because of the possibly public nature of this entries that you sometimes pause and take notice of the minute details before clicking on the "post comment". It feels so calculated sometimes.

Oh and Yeo Huan thanks for letting me in on lj again and also into your own journal. I have a feeling I might be hooked onto this, although it may seem a little belated, for sometime.

heh heh... you should spend some time exploring the features of lj. you can actually choose to lock up your entries, and decide who gets to see them. you can make your entries viewable to just those on your friends list, or even select groups of people on your friends list (you can do this by creating customised groups). you can also choose to make an entry totally private, which means only you will be able to see it. :)
