Almost $3000 estimated repairs...That is more than my car is worth right now....I think I might have just lost my first car.

See previous entry. Got in car to go to air port and horrible nasty grindy sounds of evil commenced. Took car in and found that something snapped and caused a whole lot of damage to my car's innards and axle. Not a happy day. I was not the first owner of the car, and the previous owner had done a number on it apparently. My guess is a long-standing unnoticed stress crack finally gave way.
