I'm not big on speeches, so I'm going to make this quick.

[Arthur's voice is a frustrated growl right now. He sounds about ready to punch something. Also, he's hanging out by the entrance to Level 0 and keeping his voice somewhat low so Perry can't overhear. This also means that because he's by the entrance, anybody else looking ( Read more... )

Why is it equally or more acceptable for you to threaten us as a whole with murder than it is for one or two individuals to congratulate Perry for murder?

I guess you missed the conversations where I admitted I let my temper get the best of me. I'm not interested in repeating myself, so say something else or get out.

I don't like to read through conversations that don't involve me. It didn't seem polite.

I will now, though

And apology accepted.

[BIFF. YOU'RE SO LOVABLE. Arthur can't stay mad.]

Look, I-- Sorry. I'm not exactly presenting my best side right now. I shouldn't have snapped at you.

Should you need anything..

[A pause.]

Crane's staying with me for the time. I'm not entirely certain what to do with him.

Right now, I could use a vacation. Get far from this place and everyone in it. I can't even look at some of these wardens without feeling disgusted. You know one of these assholes compared what Loki's doing-- the whole 'actively going behind my back and trying undermine me, encouraging my inmate for making a snuff film' thing-- to a scraped knee?

[End mini-rant, but seriously, Arthur's so disillusioned with the Barge right now. He needs to go into dreamspace and shoot a bunch of projections or something.]

I don't know what to do with Perry, either. The two of them are clearly planning to meet when this is over.

Do you need me to join you, or to keep an eye on things while you're away?

A scraped knee? [An incredulous laugh.] We've worked with a load of wankers before, but I didn't quite expect it here. Any ideas for what to do? [A pause.] We can always take our methods into our own hands.. I expect they might have something to say about that, however.

I'm a bit tempted to kill them both for the experience, given that it's only temporary and no one else seems to care much for punishing it.

Thanks, but I think I'll be sticking around until the Admiral fulfills his deal. I can't vacation 'til the job's over.

[He laughs shortly.] Yeah, me neither. Somehow, I thought wardens were going to be upstanding people. Then again, you're one. [ARTHUR KIIIIIDS]

Somehow, I don't think that will teach Perry to respect the sanctity of life. [Scoff.] At this rate, I'm just trying to establish boundaries. Women, children, the disabled. He's 2 for 3 right now.
