Somewhere between quiet and babble

I went out to Hawaiian BBQ with my man for dinner last night. We don't like it much, but we're always a sucker for good macaroni salad. Nobody else seems to get how to make it sadness of sadnesses and I was quiet. I didn't rant. I didn't rave. I didn't crack inane jokes. You owe the voice inside you that hasn't stopped screaming all these years.
It hasn't given up on you... neither should you. ;)

As far as how telling silence can be...
For those of us who usually express ourselves, and with passion, a sudden quiet can seem odd... even worrisome. It is change from routine, and like any other such drastic alteration, it alerts most animals to something being wrong. not unlike the silence before the roar of a Tornado.

Dude.. L&L's Hawaiian BBQ has the best damn macaroni salad.. evah.. I don't usually like macaroni salad, but I can eat the hell out of theirs.
