Yukari and George and Tokumori-kun
I recently re-read Paradise Kiss (I still love it so much, after all these years... *____*), and for the first time, Yukari's relationships bothered me.
I have no problem with Yukari ending the series without George by her side. In fact, she herself seemed certain it would go nowhere (he was too much of a playboy, she was too jealous to "share" him, and so on). Still, does it trouble anyone else that she marries Tokumori-kun, who so clearly and obviously still carries a torch for Miwako? Yes, I know - he came to terms with the fact that she "chose" Arashi over him... Maybe it's just me, but I would be unsettled with being "the runner-up," so to speak. In the back of her mind, wouldn't Yukari always be thinking about: if Miwako left Arashi, would Tokumori run away with Miwako? Maybe I'm overthinking it. O_o
Also, is the series officially out of print in English from TokyoPop? I've been meaning to replace my dog-eared, bent-up copies for some time... And Amazon appears to only have random volumes for sale.
