I still have mine, which was a gift. Breadmakers (at least in the US) are not as popular as they once were. Diets??? Who knows. But they are not advertized. Also they are different then mine (which is about 12 years old). Instead of vertical loaves, they cooked horizontally. Cuisinart is supposed to be one of the best. I think they average around $70.00 or so. They are bit higher, but they have a good reputation.

I like the idea of one that cooks horizontal rather than vertical loaves. However, we appear to have a slightly larger appliance that needs replacing, our boiler.
