Hello, there. I saw your post "Dear the Angered and Offended of LiveJournal:" while browsing through the innocence_jihad comm. and just wanted to thank you very much. :) I wasn't too terribly concerned with the name of the community, nor offended- I've read too many actually offensive things that my reaction has melted down to a weary twist of the mouth now- and I didn't really have anything to contribute to the comments, but I felt obligated to at least write you a thank you.

Something mentioned by a commenter at that post: the actual meaning of Jihad is *not* holy war. It's fighting against your inner bad qualities first and foremost- *that* is Jihad. The other meaning in Islam is, I believe, applicable only in self-defense; fighting against oppression, against tyranny.

But I digress. Thank you. :)
