Fullmetal Alchemist Vol. 21 to Ch.89

By now, everything seems to be coming together and heading towards an ending. I'm struck at how FMA reads like a novel in installments, instead of a serial. There's hardly a misstep, and revisited characters and places are done for a reason instead of feeling like it's recycled.

The other thing is that FMA is at heart pacifist despite being about a militarized country, human sacrifice and experimentation, and part of the action genre. It likes the fights, but it's very adamant on how killing is wrong, and that sacrificing others leads to nothing good.

In other words: Argh! This manga is so hard to read by chapter, because there's so much going on, and so much to remember. I had to refresh my memory. Also, Al better be okay.
