quick question

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to anonymise a photo by blurring someone's face? I'm trying various bits in MS Paint, but haven't found anything that works yet!

Paint, at least in the versions I have seen, isn't up to doing anything as fancy as a blur.

Just splat a colour over the bits you don't want to be seen (around the eyes etc). 'Forehead colour' can look slightly weird ('look someone with no eyes!') so some people use a colour that matches what they're wearing - if they are wearing anything :) - and it looks like a mask.

thanks :) Am trying this but it's really messy- what I basically want, I think, is to cover people's faces with an opaque oval, but I can't find a way to do this. vicki_t_veg has pointed me at gimp, though, so I'm going to have a look at that :)

Thanks!

if you're using Windows, Paint.NET is very nice, and is free.
