Oh, my day is made! Jeopardy! just had a clue about hemorrhagic fever viruses. What is Ebola?!

My mind was boggled and terribly pleased- though not quite as pleased as I was after the Euclid incident.

I think I mentioned this back in April, but it totally bears repeating and elaborating- Several years ago I made up a song to annoy my brother, the beginning of which song was, "Euclid, Eu-u-clid/ He's the the father of geometry-y," and also included a verse about "He lived so many years ago." The next day I wanted to improve and lengthen the song, so I looked up Euclid in an encyclopedia and came up with a couple more verses, one of which was, "He wrote a book called The Elements." All of which served only the purpose of annoying people (my husband as well as my brother) until a few months ago when there was a clue on Jeopardy about a book that Euclid wrote. And solely because of the song, masha'Allah, was I able to scream at the TV, "OMG! What is The Elements?! OMG! Aaaaahhhhhh!!"
