When my super cheap Asda DVD player finally gave up the ghost a few months ago, I thought I would spend a bit of extra money on a new player in the hope that it would last longer. last night, it froze and now refuses to play (every time I put a DVD in, it says 'No disc'). I can't find the guarantee, receipt or the relevant bank statement. Ho hum. ( Read more... )

The cheaper ones usually let you play multiregion too! my expensive Sharp DVD I bought to go with the telly that Si bought me has never been able to do the multiregion thing which is rubbish!
I remember getting a cheap one from Currys for my dad and they printed the handset crack to multiregion it on the website! :)

Yuip, both players could play multi region DVDs (after hacking them), but I want to make sure whichever new one I get can too. I fancy getting a DVD recorder with built in Freeview.... x
