I've been neglecting LJ recently, mainly because 99% of my friends/family aren't on LJ. Sooooo I have set up my very own blog about my life teaching in Korea which is here: http://guidebrooks.blogspot.com/Read more... )
hey there, i'm just going to add you. noticed you're in south korea doing the TEFL - how amazing! i'm hoping to go to japan or find somewhere in europe to do it soon! :) would love to hear about your experiences and see if it would suit me too!
Hi - thanks for your message, will add you back! I've been very lazy about updating LJ recently, but if you have any questions, let me know. It was definitely the right thing for me to do and I'm really enjoying it. I'm planning to stay here for maybe a couple of days and then head to somewhere in Europe. It seems fairly difficult to get a decent job in Europe without having a bit of teaching experience. I thought about Japan, but the living costs are quite expensive (I was told that I would need around £3,000 in setup costs, eg flights, deposit on an apartment etc!). In Korea, they give you a rent free apartment and I had my flight paid for in advance by my school. Plus living costs are lower here and I'm managing to save a bit of money every month. Anyway, feel free to fire away!
