Summary: After hearing phone cameras clicking and giggles, I opened my eyes, slightly blinded by the sun and grunted, "What's going on?" Tohya faces me, smiling widely, looking sideways before looking at me again, "You're what's going on."

It was my instinct to hold my breath when I come in contact with water. For a second, i stop breathing when i drink, and when i shower, i sometimes feel like drowning when i stay under the water for too long.
And there's him. The sea. The ocean.
If he wasnt so vast, i would've survived.
"Rui? Rui? You there?"
"Huh? Yeah..." I blinked, twice, and he was smiling in front of me, i felt his hands on my shoulders, he was shaking me awake moments ago.
"You space out a lot. Still sleepy? Come on." He gave me another shake before walking off.
"U-Umi!" I called out.
"Yeah?" He looked back at me, his face dimly lit by the lamp post nearby, "Out with it, Rui, if we're late Tohya will throw a fit."
"Uhmn, will you help me pack the food? I had to count on you on that or ill bring everything on my storage." He laughed but stepped back to my porch where i was standing.
"Well, we have 30 minutes before meeting time, so let's hurry up."
"Thanks." I stepped back to let him in, I didnt need to tell him to where my foods were since they've been here lots of times, and he just lives a block away from me, he's more often here than the rest of the guys.
"Have you packed your stuff?" He called out from the kitchen, I hear doors opening and closing, also some cans clanking against each other.
"Yeah, since last night."
"Good." He steps out of the kitchen, carrying a medium - sized drawstring bag over his backpack on his shoulders, "Let's go." He walks out of the front door, i followed him with my bag of clothes, closing the door behind me.
"Lock your door."
"Oh yeah." I went back and did what he told me to and quickly walked back to reach him.
"Stay beside me Rui, it will save me the trouble of looking behind me to check if you're still there."
Thanks to the still darkened sky, Im pretty sure he didnt notice me blush when i doubled my steps to catch up to him.
"I hate mornings so I'm pretty sure ill just fall asleep all the way to the beach." He gushes, shifting the drawstring bag to his other shoulder, i offered to take it, he refused.
"Dont bother waking me up when i fall asleep, ok?"
"Affirmative."

"Late! Late! Late!" Tohya exclaims the moment he saw us walking inside Yuh's gates.
"We're not. You're all just here early." Umi tells them, even checking his watch to prove his point.
"Ok, I'm driving, who'll be the pair that will sit with me in front?" Yuh asks everyone.
"Not me. I'll be sleeping." Umi speaks as he unloads the food bag on the back of Yuh's van then climbs inside and sits comfortably by the window.
"Boooooring. Ok, me and Tohya it will be." Tomo drags his hyper boyfriend with him, leaving me to step inside the backseat to be with Umi; I closed the door, Yuh started the vehicle and we were off to the beach.

"Pahahaha. They look good together."
"Shh. Be quiet, Tohya or you'll wake them up."

That's when I realized i was sleeping on Umi's lap, with his hand resting comfortably on my shoulder, his head lying back on the seat's headrest, face covered by his other palm, I shot up, waking Umi in the process, "I'm sorry Umi! Go back to sleep! Sorry~"
"Been awake for awhile now, actually."
"HEH?!?!" All three on the front seat exclaimed, Yuh almost hitting the brakes on a green light.
"If you three weren't so loud I would have slept in peace."
"Then why are you pretending to sleep then?" Tohya asks, ignoring the fact that they were talking about us earlier.
"I wasnt pretending. I was trying."
"Meh, whatever you say." Tohya turns away from us, i moved a little further away from Umi and looked out the window.
"I told you to stay beside me."
I faced him, making sure he did speak, even faintly. He wasnt looking at me, but he was smiling, with his head resting back on the headrest. I held my breath for a second and sighed before inching back closer to him, he shifted his shoulder, as if on cue i laid my head there. I never felt happier, more anxious and breathless all at the same time during this moment that he had already done to me in the past.

It was nine in the morning when we arrived at the beach, luckily Yuh's grandparents let us stay in the couple's resthouse for the weekends. Getting away from the stress and pressure, even just for two days, is what the band really needed right now.
It was around three in the afternoon when they all decided to check the water. I stayed by the shore, i never loved swimming anyway. I never could.
"Come on Rui!!!" Yuh grabs my hand, Tomo followed, they drag me to the water where the rest of them were playing already.
"Let go! Let go!" But I know i never could overpower the combined strength of Tomo and Yuh, Umi pulled me away from the two when we all reached the part where the water is already by our chests.
"Just stay near me and you'll be fine." He releases my hand and gave me an assuring smile. I nodded. I trust him.
"The wave's sure is strong..." Tomo commented pulling Tohya close to him, "Stay close everyone."
"That's waaaay too close, even for the two of you." Yuh exclaims seeing how Tomo has latched himself like a leech on Tohya who, like always, never minded the invasion of his private bubble.
"The wind's getting stronger, let's stay by the shore for awhile to be safe." Umi commented, he walked slowly first, i tried to follow when a huge wave pulled me away.
"U-UMI! HELP!"
And everything went blur. I think I saw him turn around and reached out for me, but i wasnt so sure, then it went cold, but it was calming since i can hear the silence of the ocean clearly, and slowly, the ocean is eating me up, slowly i was losing my breath. And then nothing.
BREATHE! DAMN IT RUI! BREATHE!!!
RUI!!!
Breathe for me... please...
I felt my lungs filling up with air, slowly, I was regaining my breath, I felt something pull away from my mouth, heard pleas, and my chest being pushed forcibly yet tenderly at the same time.
BREATHE! BREATHE!
I coughed out the water and saw his face hovering over mine, Umi was crying.
"Damn it, i told you to stay beside me!" I was too stunned to do anything when he pulled me up to his arms, all i could do was react to the hug and listen to him sob.
"Dont scare me like that Rui... I love you... Always stay with me."
"I'm sorry Umi... I'll remember to stay beside you all the time... I love you too." He pulled me closer, hugged me tighter. Nevermind the others' sobs turning into giggles, nevermind their cellphones clicking away, nevermind the question on how they still have their cellphones with them at a time like this.
I'm now with my own sea, the sea where i wont have to hold my breath, maybe occasionally, and even if he is so vast, I know i would survive.

Author's Notes: FINALLY I WROTE ABOUT THEM AGAIN!!! WOOOOH! ive been meaning to write this story for months. I love the fact that im on a writing spree. hehehe. hate the fact that i have to leave for the province later today. how ironic. Comments are love!
