Raindrop - Umi x Rui - Drabble

I watched as the rain heavily fall. I've been here for the last fifteen minutes under this huge tree as i try to find shelter from the downpour that has entirely darkened the early afternoon.
I was a stranger who looked from a distance, i was nobody special until i took all the courage to take a step and know you. And god, did I know you.
I've learned your scent, your touch, your kiss, and your voice.
I know when you're angry and when you're happy. When you're tired and when you'd just love to take down your glasses and lay down next to me.
Until that day that we just knew each other too much and we stopped getting interested in learning things that might not just be learned anymore, since there's nothing else to know.
A loud thunder stopped me from my thoughts, i realized i was just looking up to the leaves as the raindrops kept falling on my face. I told him i wanted to be a raindrop, raindrops dont fall alone.
Today I am no longer a raindrop.
Today as i looked to the trees a few meters away from my right, I saw him try to brush the raindrops that has fallen on the other guy's hair, he saw me, im sure he did, since i felt that strong gaze again on mine.
We never got to have any closure. I just woke the next day, alone with a short note that says we can no longer be together.
I felt that huge lump on my throat threaten to come out, the air has felt colder and it's killing me.
I took another glance at him before running under the rain and as fast as i could get away from his distance.
This is me, left behind.
I am the stranger again.
