that's what i always loved about my english and history classes... even if i had to buy a lot of books, they were usually cheaper than the one book i had to buy for a CS class.

also, yes. having a car on campus is wonderful. i wish i'd had one before my senior year, because there is a lot of maine stuff that i never got to explore during my senior year.

and finally... is V.E. a briefel class?

I second the car comment... on the first day back, a friend and I drove up to Boothbay Harbor, a place neither of us had ever visited, and it left us wondering how many other neat little places like that exist beyond our campus periphery, heh.

V.E. is most definitely a Briefel class. I'm a little obsessed. Already.

It would beeee the 7th volume of UChicago's "Readings in Western Civilization" series, specifically "The Old Regime and the French Revolution." I know books should be underlined, but I'm feeling lazy :-P
