AUTHOR'S NOTES: My first fic here… somewhat out of place fandom, so you’ll have to pardon the intrusion. This is a kind of prologue to my planned collected fics for this challenge.
Finduilas knew the younger of her sons was like her in more ways than just looks and temperament. She watched with horror as his eyes, identical to her own, saw not only this world, but past and future worlds as well. He was cursed with the same visions of darkness that even now sucked the life from his mother, and she grieved for him, for the terrible things that he would see - things no child should witness.
“May the Valar protect you, my dear son,” she said, wrapping the amulet around Faramir’s neck, “as they have failed to protect me.”
