I have my HP and I love it but I do nothing that resembles professional work so I guess I am pretty moot. I love you.

I got a nice, small, HP one, but it has a tendency to jam while printing. Scanning works great, although you might want to consider a high-end pure scanner if it is for professional work. Both brands listed are good, established brands, and among the two I would choose.
I suggest just googling any models/brands you see and find out what comes up
