They keep sending me letters trying to get me to come back for that Art-aches event. I can't really say I saw much of what the club was like from that corner though, as I only left to grab drinks from the bar.
People suck - myself included. Places filled with people, even more so, or at least that is my opinion of the month.
And scene friends - myself included, are there for giving and receiving rides, buying and receiving drinks, and seeing each other only when out at scenestery places. Hardly anyone thinks to call each other when there is actually something worth doing, and yeah that goes for me too.
I think if we could only learn to do things in moderation, people would not be bouncing between overdoing it and being burnt out.
That said, if you find yourself wanting to hang someplace that is not a club, and enjoy this nice autumn weather over a sensible amount of alcoholic beverages, please count me in, or include yourself on our nights out.
You ought to learn to relax. You're too hard on yourself, and everyone else.
Cynicism's great, but only if it leads to some acceptance. You can either be the monk who knows life sucks and just does what he has to uncomplainingly....or you can be the mean old man on the corner that throws rocks at pets. Both made the same realization, the only difference is how they handled it.
I apologize if me not going to Cleveland riled you up. It was a recreational outing that, mostly in light of my week, didn't sound like fun. So I said so, and tried to make sure it didn't keep you from going. Best I can do.
And yeah, AlKKKhemize is bad news. It says something that they usually have at best 2-3 token minorities on any given night.
Lastly; WTF do you mean "Manic depression isn't sexy?"
by not relaxing i have signed up three new bars at work and improved my teams numbers. anything ive had to say about cleveland ive already told you. no im not happy but ill get over it. and thank you for pitching in to help me get up there.
I don't see the point in debating the pointlessness of killing ourselves over our current jobs. They're placeholders while we...do what? Something, obviously.
And yeah; you'd said your piece, but I'd not gotten a chance to say mine. I'm not big on disappointing my friends; you deserved an offical apology.
