Is this on top of the personal statement from the Brandeis application? (And the personal statement from the specific program applications, for that matter.) Bastards! I feel so bad for all the sophomores - I don't know what I would have done had all these issues come up when I was applying. D:
I don't think the personal statement itself is new, but this form due the 15th is: you must check off the programs you are interested in, tell them why... and they can reject you right off the bat.
I was only looking at study abroad as an option, but all this mess is rather discouraging.
On the bright side, perhaps I will be able to live in Grad. =D
Sigh, Brandeis. You can just make shit up that's ultimately true? Like, it'll not only expand my horizons, but teach me to be more tactful in unfamiliar situations, help garner confidence and to articulate myself more clearly, etc? That's what I would do, if Brandeis' abroad financial design didn't screw me over or approved the program I'm interested in.
Well, it isn't hard, but it's extra bureaucracy designed to weed people out. And I was never completely sold on the idea of study abroad, nor did I chose a program that I was both interested in and applied to my major/minor (psychology in asia? apparently not), so this is discouraging. That's all. I don't think I will.

I couldn't go to the info session, so Gaby delivered the news.
