Re: Life Is A Lemon (And I Want My Money Back)

My mother returned to town several weeks ago. I'm living with her again. I'm losing it. I'm trying to get out. I have to spend my spare time trying to get a place to move. The first place did not work out due to a landlady who was crass and broke the lease when I found the tile in the bathtub surround was falling off with black mold behind it. The ( Read more... )

*Laughs.* I'm never online for myself anymore. I am always at work. When I get home, I'm not in the mood to get on the net. And AIM is pretty much a wash as of late. I've probably spent less time on there in the last week than I used to spend in a day...

Thanks for your wishes. I do appreciate your support. Tis a shame how life separates us. I miss my true friends. In RL I really feel alone. No like-minded souls here.

I'm sorry, still, to read of how things have been for you.

Your new place can't be that bad? I'd be surprised if your Texas town has a ghetto like my high school used to be in. Heck, weeds can be tended to and a rusted heap in the front yard could be removed - or - maybe spray painted and turned into a bizarre sculpture. Why not spray paint it bright yellow and then use a can of black paint to write "This... is (town name)" on it? You can then title it "Life in (town name) is a lemon.". ;-)

For the office - have you asked for a raise or mentioned something like, "I'd gladly take on these extra duties, but a little more in my pay would really help. I'm moving to a new place right now and the bills are stacking up."

Now, by the way, three of us have apparently read this per the comments.

I was told that if I wanted to afford a place to live, I could look for a second job. Then people randomly would suggest rather unspectacular things. It was a subject of amusement for everyone. How fun...

My out right now is a weekend to the mountains. I honestly wish I could never come back. Reality doesn't allow this, but if I could shed my human form and run as a snow leopard, I wonder if I'd even miss this human 'life.' No sense in dreaming though. I'll go ahead and take what I can get.

The starter is going out on my Jeep though. So I might not be coming back very quick, if it fails me on a mountain and all. Ha, irony. We'll see.

Thanks for the uplifting words of wisdom. Perhaps something will sink in. Lately everything has gotten to where I just want to leave this town, everything.

*just... hugs*

I hope you get out soon. Even if it is still in town I think anything will be better than your current situation.
