Dinner Plans III

It looks like the 12th would suit best, though Joe can't make it that day, sadly. He's certainly got something in the morning-afternoon, but maybe the evening? or do I have it backwards? Not sure ( Read more... )

Ah! I'm an idiot and can't read a calendar! I just realized a problem with the 12th... which is that I have to be back here at 9:30 AM on the 13th to play bells! Unfortuantely this is also a problem on the 19th. However, I have just discovered that I will be home all of Thanksgiving break. And if you still want to go on the 12th, I'll turn around and go back here later in the evening. Just means no alcohol for Lauren :( I'd have to leave around 10pm at the latest ( ... )

I hadn't considered Thanksgiving at all. I know in Mariah's case, she's got family in Jersey. Ryan, where are you headed? You're welcome here, though let me assure you - it gets a bit crowded! I didn't want to bring up December, but that is an option - if you guys are all alright for finals.

9. You know, we could have toasted cheese for lunch :)

re:thanksgiving

Thanks for the offer! I'm definitely going back to Kentucky, though, and I think Mariah is too.

re: lunch

Toasted cheese for lunch sounds good.

re: allergies

Just to be safe, I thought I'd clarify my allergy of doom covers all nuts - walnuts, hazelnuts, cashews, almonds, etc. And possibly peanuts.

Grace and Mike can come! They would be driving, so can you give me the address we will be at? Also, for me and Mariah, what rail line/stop do we take, so we can plot our time of arrival?

I'm fairly indifferent as to dinner time.

Adapting roast chicken sounds good. It shall be done!

Um. I'll check Freshgrocer for those cheeses, but I don't think they have them.

Stews are good. Beef stew, maybe?

No nuts then!

Toss me her email, and I'll make sure she'll have directions :)

Also, for me and Mariah, what rail line/stop do we take, so we can plot our time of arrival?
It's the R5, Pennlyn stop if you want to get a handle on timing.

Um. I'll check Freshgrocer for those cheeses, but I don't think they have them.
Remembering the TMBG picnic, perhaps Trader Joes? And, I also trust Mariah in judging cheeses.

Stews are good. Beef stew, maybe?
Beef stew I can make, but is it Canon? Hmm.
For all of this "Roast Beef of England" there are two Beef recipes in the book (one is raw salf beef which I veto) The other is... well, here, look:

Oddly enough, there is a recipe for Trifle in here, with the note that it isn't in the books! Is it as good as people say it is?
