This sounds super and I will be looking forward to the next part. Still, you are mentioning real names, maybe you would make this entry either friends-locked or insert usernames as far as possible?

Well, I know it doesn't bother Ryan or myself -- we both refer to ourselves by most of our full information online all the time. The only time we ever really did otherwise was when we used to refer to one another by Tolkien-ish Elvish names, which was less for privacy and more an affectionate affectation. As for Grace, she has no livejournal, and isn't really terribly well known online but for a few of our friends, so I doubt she'd worry. So I think all's well.

I was under the impression that neither of you minded (and I'm still not comfortable enough with LJ to flirt back and forth between names and user-names). And if Popoli does... she'll tell me, I think... won't you?

I, in fact, am probably the person who's the most cautious of the lot of us, now that I think about it.

I didn't realise you had 2 glasses of grog? Amica mia, you have no one to blame but yourself... love ya.

Custard sauce was quite easy, steamed egg yolk and milk and cream and other things and brandy. Whether Parelle remembers or not, she was measuring for me. Quite good and quite easy to make, it was yummy on or off the spotted dog.

Well, it wasn't really 2 glasses. It was 2 half glasses, honestly!

I think you had more grog than me, over a shorter time, actually. :-)

Oh! Another note on the chicken: I rubbed the whole thing with butter before dusting with salt and pepper. I don't think this was in that recipe, but it is in other roast chicken recipes I've used.
