Happy Hallowe'en

Oct 31, 2009 17:29

Happy Hallowe'en, to any of you who celebrate it in some way! I have a fondness for Hallowe'en, for some reason. Germany doesn't really have much of a tradition of it, so I'm not sure if I'll get any trick-or-treaters or not, but I have some sweeties in a bowl just in case, and if not, well, I'm sure they won't go to waste. *coughs* Maybe later on ( Read more... )

Thank you, same to you! :D And thanks, I'm hoping Nano will figure itself out, hahaha. (Sometimes it really does, in my defence!)

And ooh, rocking the German! \0/ Do you speak much German? *impressed*

General issue {{{hugs}}}, and go you on your fifth Nano! I'm far less ambitious, haha, doing wrisomifu (Write Something, You Miserable Fuck) instead. :g:

Now I have to go get a leopard and a dragon ready to go. :-)

Happy Halloween! (All the cool kids are saying it these days!) We used to do turnip lanterns too, I don't hold with this newfangled pumpkin business.

I'm glad you had fun with your sister and your brother-in-law! Your family should come visit more often.

Sorry you've been woe this week, darling. Sorry I haven't been very supportive, I've been a bit tired and emo myself. *huggles you*

You will pwn NaNo as usual, never fear! *cheers you on*

Oh good, I'm glad turnips weren't just a regional thing. I don't know if pumpkins were even available when I was growing up. Or maybe I just didn't really notice them...

*huggles*

Today we cycle into a new beginning, a time of reflection and preparation for rejuvenation.

Wait, I forgot whether I was talking about Samhain or NaNoWriMo. What the hell, enjoy them both! :)

Happy Halloween! :) The little pumpkin-shaped thing still sounds quite cool, though it is a shame about the lack of decent pumpkins or turnips.

And I'm really sorry to hear you've been feeling so down. :( *huggles* I hope you feel better soon. Want to build a fort out of blankets? :D

Anyway, I'm really glad you had such an awesome time with your sister and brother-in-law. :) Have they any idea when they'll likely visit again yet? And yay for NaNo! :D Hope you come with an idea soon. I already can't wait to see how it all turns out, lol. And good luck for the rest of the month, too, with all the writing! :) *Hugs*

Have you had any trick-or-treaters, btw? :) Ooh, and what kind of sweets did you get? We barely ever get trick-or-treaters anymore, but we still get a couple of bags of sweets each year just in case. We got some Halloween-shaped Haribo sweets, one of the gummy ones and one of the sour ones, I think.

Thank you! And I always want to build a fort out of blankets, definitely. :D *huggles*

My sister and brother-in-law haven't said when they'll be coming back, but maybe sometime next year. I don't think I've put them off for life, at any rate. ;)

I didn't get any trick-or-treaters in the end! I was quite sad. On the other hand, I can't let all those sweeties go to waste... I got fun-size bags of mini twixes and mini bounties. And mmmm, your Haribo sweets sound good too!

I love that icon, btw, it's gorgeous! Also I totally owe you an email, but I'm glad you liked the origami! I thought it looked comedy. Did you have a chance to try it in the end? :D

Lol! I doubt you could put anyone off from visiting you. :D *hugs* (Especially with TWO balconies! I may be biased there, however. :P)

Aww, yummy. Plenty of snacks to hide at home and work, then? :D We didn't get any trick-or-treaters either, sadly. Then again, someone at work has the same problem, too: no trick-or-treaters, so sweeties that need eating up. :D

Thank you! :) I wish I could take the credit for it of course, lol, but I'm really glad I found it (aleurier, who posted in pinacotheque, if I've got that right)! And no worries -- I know you're busy, especially now that NaNoWriMo has started. :) How's that going so far, btw ( ... )

Hee, thanks for the vote of confidence, my dear! *hugs*

Nano went pretty badly the first week, to be honest - I should have done more plotting in advance. About five o'clock yesterday evening I suddenly realised how the first 8 thousand words should have gone, so... I started over, ahahahha. OOPS. That is not in the spirit of Nano, but reckless disregard for deadlines is, so what the hell. I did then manage to get back up to five thousand words on my new version last night, so I feel that bodes much better for this week, assuming I can find time to write!

Woooo, go you for the pumpkin! It sounds like it turned out pretty well to me! Origami's one of those things that is really easy right up to the point where it's suddenly next to impossible, hahaha. So long as you had fun, though! :D
