The autumn is showing its bitter wet cold grey side that feels like a mitten that doesn't quite fit or give warmth and smells like a damp woolen sock. Slippery half-decayed brown-yellowish leaves on the paved road that make the heels of your shoes go to all wrong directions. Too many people in black and grey clothes under the roof of a single bus

one crap thing about hawaii: zero pieces of autumn. the only sign that the "seasons" are changing (aside from the surf) is that it gets bitterly cold at night. and by bitterly cold i mean 65 degrees Fahrenheit. well, a 20 some odd degree drop in temperature is rather significant.

I'm really not a fan of autumn rain. I feel like that first real rain after all the leaves have fallen makes them too dirty to play in and the autumn fun ends there. This year we've had it pretty good so far. I can smell the dying leaves and crunch them and feel ok about sitting in them. Good feeling.
