Managed to call the appointment line and got an urgent appointment this afternoon. Praise God we got another dentist, not the same one. Today's dentist is SO MUCH BETTER. She looked like she is more senior and experienced and she certainly engaged the kid very well. She even got Mimi to roll a piece of the composite filling in his fingers until it hardened, and to tell her when that happened cos it meant that the filling in his tooth was done.

The filling that came out was the sharp one at the side (canine?). She looked at it and said probably the previous dentist made it too long, so the moment MImi bit on something, the lower corresponding tooth knocked the filling off. So today she made it such that there was no bite.

$10.50 for a filling leh. How to fight?

I know this post was like ages ago hahaha... oh dear.

I tried Hosanna in TPY (across the road from my place)- the dentist is very good with kids but pricey (well Kae had an extraction done). I wanted Kae's first extraction to be a happy memory. The dentist made balloon sculpture and all =pp I sent him there coz I didnt know the sch dental clinic is open also during sch hols.

Now that I know this, chances are he has to see the dental nurse. That one is FREE. Lol.

Haha..Kae cannot go to SDC liao cos he is in primary school. They expect Pr Sch kids to see the school dental nurse and if it is something the sch dental nurse cannot settle, then will get referred back to SDC. I am anal about being there to know exactly what the nurse is doing to my kid's teeth. So I did not sign the consent for Dominic to be checked in school. Instead, we have to fork out quite a bit of moolah for his bi-annual check at Smileworks. Damien's dental condition is really bad, so have to bear with SDC - or else break the bank.
