I also completely agree, however I would be rather more viscious. Simply put, Derrida's reading of Lacan is nothing more than shear anthropomorphisim, masquarading as "animal rights". To project "human" values, abilities and cognition is to view the animal through the human and the human only. I think your racial commentary is rather good. Nifty!
