I don't post on lj much anymore, though I do come and read posts quite a bit.  I realize that this journal has become a pretty negative place, as most of my posts are written when I'm upset...but that's when I usually feel compelled to write

I know exactly how it is. I had a good guy friend who I felt kinda-sorta romantically close to (we even talked about the possibility of marriage, for crying out loud, but just as a scenario). Anyway, out of the blue in October or November of last year, he told me to come down to where he was at so we could "marry quickly" all because he was tired of waiting on marriage, sex, and family. Apparently, he didn't want a woman who actually had a smart thought and had a conscience mind, because when I told him I was still in school and had loans that I'd have to repay once I was to supposedly quit school, he dumped me cold and said he didn't want to talk to me ever again, which he hasn't ever again.

Boys like ours are losers. (I didn't say "men" for a reason) Boys like that make the general caring men out there look so bad.
