That's a pretty good idea. Will have to appoint one for myself soon. There's some mags I own that REALLY would turn a few folks whiter than Michael Jackson. *blushes*

Sorry about your pain, and I understand the no insurance thing. Root canals are expensive, but relatively painless. I had one a few weeks ago. I don't know if it's available to you, but there is a medical university here, and they do dental procedures ultra cheap. Sure, it's students, but they are under supervision. Hope things work out!

I briefly dated a guy who had issues with his braces similar to yours, including difficulty swallowing a dick without turning it to chow mein in the process. Ironically, he was also a dentist.
I hope those things get removed from your teeth soon enough. *hug*

That's actually a good sign. Imagine how you'll be once those things come off. You'll probably have to tie his arms down first. ;)
