I think I can see hilarity in the strangest things sometimes.
"Actual fighter aircraft tactics" and "other parts of the military actually contributing in a meaningful way" were pretty much the only bits out of this section I agreed with, hah. The enemies don't resemble aircraft in the animated version? Hello, the novels took place in 1939. If the Neuroi still used the same forms for five whole years, there wouldn't be a war to fight already. Ever hear of evolution? How about improvement and fine-tuning? And I enjoy the "sci-fi beamspam nonsense," okay. /extreme bias
Male characters with "plot significance"? Did someone forget about friggin' EPISODE EIGHT? Must I screencap it? Oh, and that "male character paired with a witch"? Sorry to spoil your rosy view of the novels, bub, SPOILERS: IT'S NOT REALLY A DUDE.
