Someone stole a book about wedding flowers out of my suitcase! Unbelievable and bizarre.

PS - And they stole my box of Ziploc baggies.

Almost every time I've travelled since 9/11, I've had things go missing from my checked luggage. I know at least half a dozen others who have had the same thing happen. It's a mess.

I've had other things disappear, but this seems really random.

i had a note in my bag that they searched my xray'd luggage the other day

maybe they did that, but forgot to put the book back in?

The book was in the outside pocket, and I think that was the problem. It was when I was flying from DFW to LGA. Moral of the story: never put anything in the outside pocket!

There is nothing wrong with educating oneself, especially if one might be spending money on something.

Sadly, no. I asked David to look for them out on the grass if he happens to be over there. No one found anything during cleanup. That's bizarre too.
