Does the other e-mail service have forwarding? If it's web-based you should be able to just set up a forwarding address to yahoo or gmail.

I haven't looked around for the alias feature - do you have a gmail invite? I can send you one and you can check it out.

The catch is that I don't want all of the mail to forward. I want to keep personal email at the gmail and all the random stuff I get on the Yahoo. I have a gmail address already - maybe we should test it out.

I've pretty much just stopped checking my old one. If it is important, people call me and say "DIDNT YOU GET MY EMAIL" and I say, Yo, if it was to hotmail I've told you 20 times I don't check that anymore. That seems to teach them eventually. Though keeping my handle helps - they know if they cc hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc it WILL get to me.

There is really little you can do to get people to change that stuff right away though, and then they forget. Just get ready for it - you will be AMAZED by how hard it is to get people to RSVP for your wedding. Or hopefully you will be luckier than me and my other friends this year! Maybe it is a 2008 problem!
