There is a reason I don't ever intend to live on the west coast....

This afternoon while reading about Hurricane Irene I felt the house being to shake and heard the blinds being to rattle. (They were closed because my mother and I were watching a DVD). It took a few seconds to figure out what was going on. I wondered if there was a helicopter right out side the house (I watch way to much TV), or the washing machine ( Read more... )

Our office building shakes when it has high winds, so the first few seconds that's what we thought it was. But, no, the shaking was coming from the ground up! It was very unsettling :(

California knows earthquakes, not so much the rest of the west coast. I live on the west coast and I've never (knock on wood) been in even a small earthquake.
