Kihyun gives in the first time he meets Hoseok. He doesn't know it yet, but he's already decided that if Hoseok wants to sleep with him, he'll say yes. He'd say yes to whatever Hoseok wants, there's something about him that presses all of Kihyun's buttons. It makes him ache inside, makes him feel things he'd wanted to forget he could feel.
He's broken, his last relationship ripped his heart apart and left it in pieces of him to assemble. It's barely been a year, but he can't hear his ex's name without a pang. And then Hoseok waltzes into his life, confident and beautiful. Kihyun wants to explore every part of him, to touch him, to be loved by him. He doesn't think he's desperate, exactly.
Sure, he's lonely, but it's not for his ex or even for any boyfriend. He feels like something is lacking, there's a part of him that's no longer whole. And the first time he goes on a date with Hoseok, it's like that hole starts to fill. He doesn't notice, not at first, not until they've been sleeping together for two months. But then one more Hoseok tells him that he looks different.
Kihyun tries to get him to explain, but halfway through the request he stops. He feels different. The despair he'd feel, the loneliness that plagued him has disappeared when he wasn't paying attention. He can think of his ex and the pang is nothing but a dull ache. He tells this to Hoseok, who gathers him into his arms, holding onto him. It's comfort, it's love, it's everything. And it's when Kihyun realized that he'd been a little in love with Hoseok from the moment they met.
