The cave they're in is huge and the guide instructs them to yell. It's been empty for years, not even bats live inside. Kihyun looks at Hoseok, how holds his gaze for a moment before grinning. They both take a breath and then, like all of the tourists around them, yell. The sound reverberates around them and Kihyun looks up, for some reason imagining he can see the sound waves, though he can't. He feels Hoseok's hand slide into his own and he looks over, grinning.
This vacation, far from Seoul, far from home, was an excellent idea. He cannot even imagine why they hadn't done this before. It's not that they're short of money or lack passports, they have plenty of both. Maybe it was a lack of adventure. Whatever it is, it's gone, because Kihyun wants to do this every year. Not here, not this cave, not even this country. But somewhere, outside of Korea, outside of Asia. He'd like to travel the world and have his boyfriend by his side.
He looks over at Hoseok, who is watching him now. He leans over and gives his boyfriend a kiss. The one he gets in return gives him all the answers he's seeking without even having to ask. Of course Hoseok will come with him. Of course they will do this. They will travel, explore. And Kihyun thinks, they will be happier than they've ever been.
