When everything goes wrong, it's Hoseok who picks up the pieces. He slowly, painstakingly, restores Kihyun. It's not perfect, he's irreparably broken in ways that may never heal, but he's also whole again.
It takes him almost a year to realize that he's in love with Hoseok, that the feelings he has are real. So much wasted time, but Hoseok doesn't mind.
"I was patient." He whispers, pressing Kihyun against the wall of his flat, their bodies twisted together.
He has no words, there are none, and so he pours everything he has into the kiss, knowing Hoseok will understand.
