I found an apartment however I have to come up with first and last month's rent to be able to move. I also have to pay my share of expenses while I am still here. Sometimes landlords will let you pay that last month's rent in increments, if you haven't asked already, like make a deal to pay 1/3 of it off for the next three months or something? I've been in the living-with-the-ex-after-you-have-broken-up-with-each-other situation before, and it can totally ruin chances of being able to be civil to each other later, which we be shame with the kids. Maybe he will understand it's for the best if you just save your money and get your own place asap. Best of luck with everything. You're bound to be better off soon!
