Of course we're going to have a "who's the daddy" thing. I don't know how I feel about it or who I want it to be. Definitely expect it to be Barney but I love Kevin too, so, we'll see.

The fact that Barney's getting married before Ted points me toward him as the father. He clearly ruined things with Nora when he cheated on her with Robin, so she isn't the Bride unless her self esteem is measured to the left of zero. Who else is it going to be but Robin? Also, the fact that the bride wanted to see Best Man Ted for something implies its a friend of his as well.

*wishes I had enough icon space for my Ted and Robin icon that says "Not Your Mother"*

I just...I hope the writers are better than 'who the baby daddy.'

Of course, these are the same people who had Barney and Robin break up for the first time because what? They had too much awesome between them?

And, oh, God. I forgot about Barney's wedding.

Is it wrong that if they get married or get together because of this, I'll feel cheated? Like - I want them together. I always have. But I want the two of them to realize how awesome they are and that they should be together. I don't want them to feel like they have to get together or be together for the sake of a baby. You know?

I...still really have no idea how I feel about this.

I fell asleep during the first third, watched the second, realized I was confused and needed to go back, started over, and then watched straight through.

Me, out loud to the empty living room when Robin dropped her bombshell? "What he actual frack?" Cannot believe they went there. Shocked, awed, and curious for more.

Also, don't know if you watched Friends, but tonight was totally TOW the Baby on the Bus + The One with Princess Consuela + Every Thanksgiving Episode Ever, but especially TOW the Late Thanksgiving + TOW Rachel Tells...

Yes. But since Friends was my favorite and HIMYM is in my mind its second coming, I don't hate them for that. I hope they will handle it well. Rachel and Robin do have interesting parallels.

Oh, dude - I actually said 'WHAT. THE. FUCK' and then clapped my hand over my mouth.

Because, seriously. WHAT. THE. FUCK.

I'm withholding judgement until I see where they're going, but. I feel like they have to do this very VERY carefully.

And I watched Friends, but sort-of sporadically? I watched the first few seasons, but kind-of stopped after the first season Chandler and Monica got together. I knew Rachel and Ross had a baby, but I don't think I know the eps you're talking about.

No.

There is no way Robin - Robin - is having a baby. This will not happen. This will be at least partially the reason Kevin is out of the picture as a guest star.

I also do not buy that Barney and Robin would get married just because she's pregnant. They are never going to be that couple.

I mean... Just, really? What?

EXACTLY.

I could maybe be okay with Robin having a kid, but if this baby in any way plays a part in Barney and Robin getting hitched, I will be SO PISSED. Holy shit.

They are NOT those people.

I want to, like, start a 'Save Barney and Robin!' petition or something. Not everyone has to get married and have kids and move to the suburbs. Do they not realize that?!

I'm trying to talk myself off the ledge.

I am, strangely, more okay with Barney wanting to get married and have kids than with Robing wanting those things. Because we've seen Barney move in that direction. But Robin? I just.

I am trying to reserve judgement.

Sure. Obviously Robin could decide that she wants a kid despite repeated moments which prove they make her uncomfortable and are clearly something she was not planning for. Stranger things have happened, etc etc. I am even with you on seeing Barney move in that direction more naturally. He is the oldest on the group, he likes kids, and he's expressed an interest in a family before, at least in part due to his screwed up relationship with his mom and absent father ( ... )

What I wanted was for them to fall into commitment assbackwards and not realize it for months or years. Then twig and be all, 'Well. Shit. I love you. Damn it!' but I don't think that can happen ( ... )
