I love love LOVE heartbreaker - in such a way that it really honestly shocks me that someone can have apathetic feelings toward it. I love it just for the music, but I also have great memories tied into a lot of it. Sitting in my garden and belting out 'My Winding Wheel' with my flatmate and dancing like a lunatic when I was minding my best friend's step daughter (her name is Lucy, so we danced around their flat to 'Lucy' and she'd point at herself when it came on) and seeing him in concert for the first time and hearing 'Call Me On Your Way Back Home' and belting out 'Come Pick Me Up' along with everyone else in the building. So. Yeah.

It is super embarrassing to cry at a John Denver song, but I still love you. And 'there's a road map to my soul and it's made of country roads' may be the best phrase ever. And totally appropriate! It's perfect for you.

Speaking of 1997, DMB's Crash is lovely from beginning to end. Coldplay's first, Parachutes is one of mine. Mumford & Sons Sigh No More. Jay-Z's Black Album. Beatles Abby ( ... )
