OK, I don't know a damn thing about journal posting. I've been a dedicated lurker for quite a while, though, so hopefully I can figure it out. The final episode of House made me scream and bang my head against the wall, so much so that I sat down and started writing my first fanfic. My fic is kinda gnarly and mutating at the moment. It's my attempt to pull together all the stuff that's been going on with Chase the last half of the season, in light of the last episode. Except for one short scene with Cuddy, I haven't made it out of Chase's head yet. It's turning into a 'PWP' with no smut - what kind of fun is that? Ah, but there's angst, and so far, just a little bit of Cameron-bashing (hey, still in Chase's head here - wait 'til I get to live action, though).

If this fic is really something you want to nail, you might try writing some short fics about other stuff, just to work all of that out. I remember the first fic I wrote. I wrote it because I was reading other fics that didn't do what I would have done. Silly reason, but writing helped me appreciate what was out there and still get what I wanted in a fic. LOL
I'm very excited about reading your fic. Keep me posted!

That's very good advice. I realized last night that my problem is trying to cram everything in my head about Chase and his life and his thoughts (well, my version of those, at least - Lord knows the writers have only thrown us scraps) into one poor little fic. I'm actually pleased with what I've written in terms of getting the ideas on paper, but at this point it's too convoluted and dense and expository. I'm gonna take just the first part, pare it down a bit, post it, and see what sorts of produce come flying my way.
