I enjoyed reading the Wilson's perspective about House and Chase.

What was in the box?

You know, I didn't intend to build up suspense about the box, but I've already written the next scene between Wilson and Chase where they discuss House's present and it didn't really fit into this chapter sequence. My poor beta read this chapter and came back to me with "OMG, it's twelve inches long, it's not a sex toy, is it?' After I chastised her for her dirty mind, I went back and put the disclaimer into the description, because in this context, House giving Chase a sex toy would just be...ewww.

Let's just say that a friend gave me one of these and I keep it in my office where only I and a few special friends can see it.

Thanks for reading! The muses are being kind these days, so I plan to update much sooner this round.

This is so brilliant. I loved your description of how Chase is the one of the ducklings closest to being House's equal in terms of diagnostic abilities...something I've often thought about but could never so eloquently explain. I also enjoyed reading about Chase's reactions to the punch through Wilson's eyes... It's all very interesting. I'm really looking forwards to seeing where this is going.

A friend gave me the Season 3 DVDs for my birthday, so I've had the luxury of going back to watch the later House/Chase interactions and follow the diagnoses. I was amazed at how many Chase got right, especially when House wasn't around. I didn't notice the first time around in 'Merry Little Christmas', for example, that it was Chase who came up with the correct diagnosis for the little person, and with Cameron and Wilson so busy arguing cancer vs. autoimmune, nobody thought Chase was right. House eventually figures it out, and Cuddy and Wilson acknowledge that they shouldn't have rejected the initial suggestion. Oops.

Very much thanks! I hate the way the show brings in the guest stars and doesn't use the awesome actors/characters it already has, so I've tried to include everyone.

Besides, I might be a House/Chaser, but I love me some Wilson too!

Thanks! You'll be getting plenty more Chase. My updating is slow because RL stinks, and also because my little Chase-fest quickie turned into a rather substantial prequel to this story. It's ready to post, so I'll have it up in a couple of days.
