the whole time i was reading that i was like, "wow. i'll have to tell india that poem is awesome and i want to read what else she has been writing." then i see that dudes name at the end. dissapointment. but that part about the chinese torture was amazing. i can totally relate. and isn't it nice when you find a poem that perfectly fits. (if you are writing, i'd like to read it sometmie, again)
I feel like that was my poem too, when i first read it. Everything he writes is that way, though. He writes so simply, straight from his emotion, and he's good and honest about it. It's hard not to find yourself in it. That poem is from a book called "Surviving the Loss of a Love" which, granted, sounds cheesier than hell, but it actually turned out to be pretty cool. At the end it has this 'Survival Handbook' that talks about things to do health-wise when you're stressed or depressed. It talks a lot about Transcendental Meditation which I've started researching since I read it. It's really interesting; you should check it out. He apparently was good friends with the guy, Maharishi, who started TM. I have just recently started writing again, finally. I'll have to send you some things I've been working on.
